Senior Dogs
"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself."
Nothing compares to the sadness of an older dog dumped in a strange, cold, cruel shelter. We, at the Lange Foundation, believe these older dogs deserve so much better. We know they still have a lot of life left and lots of love to give. We know senior dogs are actually treasures! Seniors are Mature, Seasoned, Experienced, Mellowed, & Sophisticated. Take a moment to look at a few of our senior friends. You just might find the companion you have always wanted.

The six best reasons to adopt a senior dog!
Penny is one of our favorite older gals. She is about 9. A gorgeous copper colored doxie-mix with the funniest ‘laugh’ you have ever heard. Tickle her tummy and prepare to be thoroughly amused!
Cookie, a 10 year old chihuahua, is our resident cuddle bug. She soaks up love like a sponge. No amount of cuddling is too much for her. Maybe because her previous people treated her rough, so rough that they broke her leg. She appreciates the finer things in life...a lap, arms around her and a kiss or high five!
Lady is a 10 year old Mini Pin. This little gal is going blind so she knows that she has to pay attention to everything around her. In no time, she has figured out her surroundings and is practically the queen of this castle! Because of her disability, Lady is very attached to people and loves so much.
Daisy Mae is truly 10 years going on 10 months. She was dumped at a very high kill shelter, her fur so matted and tangled that she couldn't walk without pain. So she got a haircut! And soon we saw that she is the most playful, affectionate and active senior we have seen in a long time! She loves to run, jump and snuggle. She enjoys the company of other dogs and adores children. Adopting a senior dog is one of the best things you can do to help the animals and a rescue. She is a beautiful Maltese and a loving companion. Come meet Daisy Mae!
Toby was rescued from a high kill shelter, Toby is the CUTEST senior dog you have EVER seen. He is only 3 pounds and loves to be held. He is VERY energetic for his age. He likes short walks and to sit on your lap while you watch TV or surf the net! We do think Toby would be best suited in a home without small children b/c he is so tiny and fragile! We cover lots of expenses for our adopters who take home seniors. It is one the the most loving things you can do. This guy has a great personality. Come meet Toby!
