The vet thinks this little female is between 3 and 4 years old, good teeth, 7.5 lbs.

She's really calm and seems to live for having her belly rubbed. Seems to be house-trained and responds to "stay" command when I point.

This little girl was picked up off the street behind Banfield Pet hospital, in Pomona CA. She was a big matted mess, infested with ticks, and anemic. Since then she has been treated, vaccinated, and is all checked up. She is healing perfectly! I have had the pleasure of watching her personality unveil as she has began feeling better over the past week. She is energetic, young (maybe 2 years), very loving, and protective of her caretakers. She has gotten along with my other dog (who is not usually a fan of intruders) and now I need to find her a wonderful new home, asap!

Camille and Blaze were 2 abandoned pit bulls, saved about two years ago. One had been tied to a two foot chain, while the other one was locked up in an abandoned car. They were skin and bones. Knowing what would be their fate if I turned them in to the local shelter, I arranged to have them temporarily boarded in a private kennel…that was 18 months ago… These kids need a real home.

Shaolin, a sweet and polite-as-can-be 2 year old unneutered male pit bull is in desperate need of a foster home starting immediately!  He is loving, gentle and has those "I love you" eyes :))  He is very masculine and strong, but anyone who knows how to walk dogs should be able to handle him, provided they have a calm energy or large back yard :)  He needs brief a.m. and p.m. poo and potty breaks and approximately 1 hour exercise per day, though this is flexible.  He loves to run and is great with other dogs.  He has bedding, food and everything he needs, except a loving, temporary home!  He is available to meet anytime at his current foster home in Mar Vista :)  Please contact Quinn at 831-402-9802 or quinnobe@yahoo.com.

Shadow is a 2 y/o Mini Aussie, male, about 14 pounds.  He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  He is initially fearful and defensive with anyone he meets, but after about 24 hours, he turns into your best friend and nothing will scare of trigger him.    As long as people do not force themselves on him, Shadow is fine.

We do feel that with the appropriate training and dedication this little dog has great potential to make someone’s lifetime companion.  We know he needs a bit of special care and a patient owner to help him learn he isn’t being threatened.

Jester is a 4.5 year old Jack Russell Terrier, male, about pounds. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  Jester is extremely food aggressive and has also shown some re-directed aggression when faced with a frustrating situation or attempted correction by his handler. He cannot be around cats or other small animals and no children due to his unpredictable problem behavior.  He is good with other dogs and tries  to initiate play.

Cinderella is a six yr old little pit bull that has spent her entire life chained to a tree with a chain and padlock around her neck. When I first saw her, Little Cinderella was so frightened she peed all over herself. When I walked up to the crate she wagged her tail and licked my hand, her first experience with human compassion.

At the spay clinic, the vet saw that she was filthy from living in the dirt, had never had vet care and had lived with a dirty sweater on her for years. I AM DESPERATE to find help for this poor poor girl that has never had an ounce of compassion or care. She cowers but wags her tail and loves to be pet, just the sweetest girl but the saddest situation I have ever come across. Can ANYONE help me give Cinderella the happy ending she deserves?   PLEASE let me know, I just cannot get myself to take her back there.

This very sweet dog was found wandering in the middle of the street. Her microchip indicated she had been previously rescued on December 28th from a shelter. The owner was found, contacted and informed us that she did not want this dog anymore.  The previous owner asked me to drop her off at a shelter. I didn't not have the heart to do so.  Instead, I am trying to find a home for her.

She is a brownish, reddish color, and adorable. She is a medium sized dog, approx 30 lbs, has all her shots, spayed, in good health, around 3 yrs old with a great demeanor.    She is a great dog.

Lady is about a year old, maybe younger. She was left in a back yard, along with three pregnant cats. Her people left her and the cats there to die, no food or water and no one to care for them. A good samaritan ran across them all and saved them. Now Lady needs a home.

Lady super affectionate, great and gentle with kids, loves cats and is desperate for human attention. As soon as she sees some one, she wiggles from her tail to her nose!

If you can help, either to foster or adopt, please please contact Kimberly at (661) 210-7976.

Rocky is 7 Year Old Neutered Male German Shepard Mix looking for a good home.  He is very loyal, loves women.  He is a loving, faithful, loyal dog but has to get to people first, since he can be a bit shy.  His owner stayed home 99% of the time, Rocky may need a bit of socialization.  However, once he is comfortable,  he is a wonderful loyal pet.

I am spayed, up to date on all of my shots, house trained, and I even have some formal training!  Remember, I am still a puppy and still need a lot of love and patience!  Please adopt me into a good home with lots of love!

Fritz & Buddy are two sweet, sweet senior dogs.  They were dumped in a high-kill shelter a few days ago.  Abby Animal Sanctuary couldn’t let these two loving, bonded, gentle giants spend their last few days on earth in a cold, scary place waiting to be euthanized.  Now they are safe and looking for either a long term foster or a new loving home.

Fritz is a PB Bouvier and Buddy is a shepherd mix. They have been together at least 8 years.  They are like velco to each other and to whatever human is kind to them.  Never have I met two sweeter, gentler dogs in my life.  They are very sad right now having been thrown from their home but perk up and play when given love.  If you have it in your heart to open your home to these two deserving dogs, please contact Rachel at rachelkingny@hotmail.com

Riso & Wiley are beagle/doxie mixes who were adopted 10 years ago as puppies.  They have lived together all this time.  Unfortunately, they have to find a new home and fast! These two adorable little guys are neutered, up to date with shots/vaccines and healthy.  They get along great with other dogs and still act like active, happy, funny puppies.

This Lost little girl is a beautiful Pitbull female, found frozen in the middle of the street, terrified by the cars running around her. She is really sweet, mellow in the car and kind, in the few hrs I spent with her she hasn't barked once and she was already wagging the tail every time she would see me from far.

She is about 1 year old, not microchipped, seems in great shape and gets along with other dogs. She is now at the city shelter on Pico in West LA. She will be available for adoption on March 16th.  Her Id # is A1098223. She is a real beauty and so gentle-

Wanda is a 4 year old female Lab mix.  She was found outside of a small grocery store begging for food.  She was full of milk and she had a couple of wounds.  She had one puppy left.  The puppy has been adopted but now mama is looking for a home.  She weighs about 50 pounds and she is housetrained with a doggy door.

Wanda has been fixed up, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, fecal test done, frontlined, and microchipped.  She is good with other dogs, good with children but not good with cats.

Buster is a male, neutered, 1 year and 3 month old German Shepherd. Buster greets everyone with hugs and kisses. He is a very friendly and a lovable dog. He is also well trained. His former owner’s originally adopted him from South LA animal shelter and was sent to obedience classes. Buster understands English and French. He knows how to sit, lie down, bark, shake hands, bring you back a ball, and stay on command.

His former owner’s tell me he is great with people, especially women. He is very active and loves to run and hike. He is great with other dogs. Buster has never been around children or cats so his behavior towards them is unknown but he is such a happy and energetic dog that I am sure there should not be any problems.

Aristotle is neutered, believed to be about 2-3 years old, appears healthy, no micro chip and no owner has surfaced.  He had some cuts and minor wounds around his neck and face.

This little guy is a sweetheart and needs to start a path to a new life.  He is a big mush and wags his tail the minute he gets any human contact. Would be best in a home without cats.  We are worried about his fate in the shelter and would LOVE to get him into a safe place.

This puppy was abandoned in front of my place last night. He was tied to a fence on the street with a collar that was so small it was hard for him to breathe.

He's black with white markings... about 6-8 months old with an incredibly friendly personality. He loves to give kisses and snuggle. He's on the small, short side. Some of his adult teeth are in, but he's got some puppy teeth to lose. He appears to be house trained (as much as a dog his age can be). He's getting shots this weekend. Neutering next week.  He has an old untreated leg injury and is underweight.

He's currently living with another dog (a nearly blind 11-year-old Bassett), so he could easily go into a multi-dog home.  This little guy is fantastic!

A good dog in need of its owner or a new home. Last week we found this adorable dog running through traffic in the Carson area. We have had no luck in finding her owner. She is a very obedient.  Gets along great with kids. I would keep her but there is no room for an extra dog.

If anyone knows who this dog belongs to or is willing to give her a new home.  Please contact me.

This is Sophie. She is probably about 1 or 2 years old-a border collie mix, in great health. She is really sweet and super playful, gets along great with other dogs.  She just needs some training, however, she is incredibly SMART! I have already taught her to sit and stay in just a couple days, and she will fetch a ball and bring it back to you and place it right in your lap!

Found Rotti/Shep mix wandering the street in Koreatown. He is now at the South LA Shelter.  His age unknown, has some grays around muzzle.  His good samaritan named him Angel.

He is unneutered, not chipped, unsure about shots (willing to assist financially)

He is good with people in general, kids, babies, other dog.  Could be house trained and he is gentle and sweet, walks well on a leash.

These two are mother and daughter, Sugar (on the right) is the mom.  Candy is a Welsh Corgi mix and Sugar aka Shug is a Jack Russell mix.  Candy is 1 and Shug is 3.  They are great dogs.  Shug is high energy, funny and chatty, as most Jack Russells are, Candy has a bit more of a Corgi temperament!

These very sweet doggies were found,  apparently dumped on Balcom Canyon.  They are in good health and the boy is neutered..our vet is going to make sure the female is spayed. They had no collars, therefore no number or address to find owners.  Both are approximately 1 to 2 yrs old, gentle and loving..they just want to be near you all the time and play!  I'm guessing they are both shepherd mixes.

Shelby was adopted about four months ago. She was found by a CHP officer, along with her momma by the 101. Most vets guess her to be Shiba Inu and Chihuahua -so maybe that explains her funky little underbite ??? - and her age is around ten months. She is up to date on all shots and spayed. She is extremely cuddly when she hits the sofa or bed with us. She loves to tuck her head under your chin. House trained, sleeps through the night.

Angel (left) is the 12 yr. old doxie.  She was overlooked at shelter because she is a senior. She loves people, jumps up on sofa & chair to be with us…sleeps on a pillow at night. She seems very young for her years.

Archibald, aka Archie, is the 1 yr. old Chihuahua! He has a lame front leg, possibly due to nerve damage or possibly he was kicked in his left upper shoulder or hit by car. He was dropped off in middle of night at shelter. Happily, he gets along fine on 3 legs…The wound is healing and he wears an adorable baby sock to keep his paw safe!

Archie, like Angel, is a beautifully behaved lap dog.  Both get along with their canine and feline foster sibilings. Both have clean bills of health, are altered and up to date with all shots.
